A spiritual practice purely in accordance with the cultivation of a compassionate heart, Falun Gong assists in the liberation of karmic blockages that result in illness and disease to restore well being and good health.
The practice of Falun Gong originated from an energy-based form of Buddhist Qigong that since then has become quite popular throughout the world. It was first introduced to the public in 1992 in China. Around 1999, the number of people practicing Falun Gong grew to about a hundred million people. This holistic practice is made up of a combination of three universal principles – forbearance, compassion, and truthfulness as well as five physical exercises. It is now practiced in 67 countries around the world.
Qi Gong was invented by the Gautama Buddha himself. In the early days, Buddhism, via the practice of Qi Gong, instructed people how to cultivate important human virtues within themselves.
Today, it is Master Li Hongzhi who is responsible for the development of the Falun Gong system, which instructs us how to assimilate perfect virtues into everyday living. Falun Gong is not a religion, a philosophy, nor a theory. Rather, it is way of helping us learn how to adjust our behavior and mind to our everyday life in accordance with eternal celestial principles.
Cultivating the Kind Spirit
Applying the principles of forbearance, compassion, and truthfulness in our modern way of life produces benefits on various levels. The mind becomes more benevolent through the cultivation of Falun Gong. It creates a more prosperous and better society and cleanses the physical body; in addition, it helps us attain wholeness of being in order to achieve our highest destiny.
The cultivation of the main spirit – our genuine essence – is one of the more important aspects of Falun Gong. This is gained through the development of our own consciousness and a clear awareness about our own conduct. Compared to other forms of meditation, this is one of the greatest advantages of Falun Gong.
The practice of Falun gong is designed to help cultivate our own heart that, in turn, augments our main spirit. Cultivating the heart is a process that involves freeing ourselves of attachments. This is stated in the book, Zhuan (or Shuan) Falun.
Falun Gong is accessible to everyone who aspires to evolve to a higher level – they are available to both rich and poor and you don’t need to fill up any forms nor do you have to donate or pay any fees or membership.
When one lets go of negative emotional attachments that may manifest as fear, anger, and/or jealousy, the heart becomes compassionate and benevolent. The process of letting go is a journey of steady learning and passes through a lot of levels.
